Snow Removal and Salting Services Bid Sheet
Nittany Oil Company
Nittany Oil Company is now accepting sealed bids for the 2025-2026 (option 1 – One Year) OR 2025-2028 (option 2 -Three Year) for snow removal and salting services at our commercial properties. The final bid will be paid in SIX installments starting in OCTOBER. Qualified contractors are invited to submit bids in accordance with the terms set forth below.
Scope of Work
For the purposes of this bid, a snowfall event is considered to have begun once an accumulation of two inches or more is present on the property. The event is deemed ongoing while additional accumulation continues and is considered complete once snowfall has stopped and no further accumulation is occurring.
Services shall include:

Continuous monitoring of weather forecasts and site conditions during the winter season.

Snow plowing of all parking areas, drive lanes, and vehicle access points.

Clearing of fuel pump areas, delivery lanes, and entrances to ensure unobstructed vehicle movement.

Relocation and piling of snow in designated storage areas as approved by management.

Application of salt or other approved de-icing materials to parking areas and traffic lanes as needed or directed.

Removal of slush, packed snow, and ice buildup from vehicle travel areas following freeze/thaw cycles.

Immediate notification to management of any property damage, safety concern, or unusual site condition observed during service.
Additional Terms

All work must be performed safely and in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials.

Nittany Oil Company reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, and to award contracts in the best interest of the company.
